Sombra Wall Hook

Are fixing components included?

Standard fixing screws are supplied with the Sombra wall hook. Choose the wall plugs yourself to suit the type of mounting surface, as different fixings are used for concrete, brick, wood, furniture board and plasterboard.

What colours is the Sombra model available in?

The Sombra model is available in brushed gold and pearl grey.

How much does the Sombra wall hook weigh?

A single rail weighs approx. 265 g. This greater weight comes from its 332 mm length and the solid construction of the ZnAl casting.

Is the 332 mm Sombra wall hook difficult to fit?

Fitting itself is not complicated, but with the longer model it is worth making sure it is accurately levelled when mounting it on the wall or furniture board.

What interiors does the pearl grey finish suit?

Pearl grey goes well with light wood, architectural concrete, white, greys and other understated finishing materials.

Is the Sombra wall hook suitable for a bathroom?

Yes, Sombra can be used in a bathroom as a hook for towels, dressing gowns or small accessories. However, avoid prolonged contact with standing water and dry the surface with a soft cloth after splashes. Regular care helps keep the finish looking attractive.

How do I fit the Sombra wall hook?

The Sombra hook should be fitted horizontally to a stable mounting surface, e.g. a wall, panel, wood or furniture board. Before fitting, choose the position, hold the rail against the surface and mark a level line – ideally with a spirit level, as with a length of 332 mm even a slight deviation will be visible.

Then mark the fixing holes with a pencil. When fitting to a wall, drill the holes and use wall plugs suitable for the type of mounting surface, e.g. concrete, brick, wood or plasterboard. When fitting to furniture or a panel, choose the screw length so that the screws do not go right through the board. After screwing the rail on, check that it is stable and level.

Can the Sombra wall hook be fitted to plasterboard?

Yes, but you need to use wall plugs or fixings designed specifically for plasterboard. Standard wall plugs for concrete or brick may not provide sufficient stability. If the hook will be used for heavier jackets, bags or backpacks, it is best to fit it in a reinforced spot or choose fixings to suit the planned load.

Where is the best place to fit the Sombra wall hook?

Sombra works well in a hallway, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom, kitchen, office and utility rooms. You can use it for jackets, bags, towels, scarves, lanyards, keys or everyday accessories. When fitting, make sure the available wall width lets you comfortably use the full length of the rail.
