Elegance in a straight line – the Avalos aluminium cabinet handle

The Avalos cabinet handle is an option for anyone looking for harmony between a stark form and a high level of practicality. This model features a simple, slim profile that fits perfectly with modern, minimalist and industrial styles. Made from high-quality aluminium, the product is light, which goes hand in hand with high durability and resistance to everyday use in homes and offices.

The Avalos collection stands out for its brushed surface finish, available in two options: deep black and rich gold. The brushing process gives the handles a satin sheen and makes them exceptionally practical – on this texture, fingerprints and minor scratches are less visible than on polished items.

Why Avalos?

The main advantage of the Avalos series is its very wide range of available sizes, from a standard 96 mm all the way up to an impressive 960 mm option. This lets you keep a fully consistent look throughout your home or office. The smaller handles are ideal for bedside tables and drawers, while the longest models make a practical finishing touch for tall fitted wardrobe doors and wide kitchen fronts.

This range of sizes also means that Avalos suits almost any interior design, whether you are looking for a small 96 mm handle for a bathroom cabinet, a medium 320 mm one for a chest of drawers or a large 960 mm one across the full width of a sliding wardrobe front – all options share the same profile and finish, so you can freely mix them in one interior without losing visual consistency.

As the base material, aluminium provides corrosion resistance, which is important in rooms with higher humidity, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Brushed black and brushed gold – two different characters

Brushed black Avalos suits modern, minimalist and industrial aesthetics – it creates a matt, deep contrast with white, grey and beige fronts and a monochrome effect with dark fronts. Brushed gold works differently from glossy gold: it is warm but not overpowering – it goes well with oak and walnut veneers, cream and champagne fronts and stone in warm shades. Both options are less prone to visible fingerprints than the corresponding colours in a glossy finish.

Matching interior styles

Avalos in brushed black fits naturally into modern, minimalist and industrial interiors – especially combined with architectural concrete, black taps and fittings and handleless fronts, where Avalos acts as the only metal accent. Brushed gold goes well with classic and modern classic styles and Haussmann or Art Deco interiors, where matt gold on large fronts creates a clear, elegant graphic accent. In both colours, the Avalos 960 mm across the full width of a wardrobe front is a strong decorative element that shapes the perception of the whole set of fitted furniture.

FAQ – frequently asked questions Show more ▼

What does ‘brushed’ mean in the colour name, and is it durable?

Brushing is a mechanical finish applied to the aluminium surface in one direction, which creates parallel micro-scratches. The result is a matt, directional texture that is visible in side lighting and can be felt to the touch – different from smooth matt lacquer and from a polished shine. A brushed finish is durable in normal use – the key is to clean along the direction of the brushing, not across it, which helps to avoid scratches that cut across the texture and change the appearance of the surface.

How do I choose the right Avalos size for a fitted wardrobe front?

With fitted wardrobe fronts, it is often assumed that the length of the handle should be a substantial part of the width of the front to keep good proportions. With a 60 cm front, the 320 mm option gives a more subtle effect, while the 576 mm option creates a strong, full line across the width of the front. With 100 cm fronts, the 960 mm option gives a similar full-width effect. The choice depends on your preferred look: a subtle accent or a clear horizontal line.

Does the Avalos 96 mm fit IKEA furniture without drilling?

96 mm hole centres are common in furniture and may fit some fronts with ready-made holes at these hole centres. 128 mm hole centres are also found in selected series. Before fitting, it is best to check the hole centres on the particular front and compare them with the dimensions table. The other sizes require you to drill the holes yourself according to the product dimensions.

Is the Avalos handle suitable for bathroom furniture?

Yes, being made of aluminium gives the handle natural resistance to moisture-related corrosion, which makes it a suitable choice for bathroom cabinets exposed to steam.

How many Avalos handles do I need for a whole kitchen, and how do I work it out?

The simplest way is to count all the fronts with separately opening doors and drawers – each front needs one handle. In practice, the 160 or 320 mm options are often chosen for base cupboards, 128 or 160 mm for wall cupboards, and 576 mm or larger for tall fitted units. With a larger order, it’s worth considering buying 1–2 spare items in case the design changes or a mistake is made when drilling.

Can I return the products I ordered?

In accordance with the applicable regulations, the customer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of receiving the parcel. The return procedure is described in the section: Returns and complaints.
