Gordo Wall Hook

How does pearl grey differ from ordinary grey?

Pearl grey contains fine particles in its structure that subtly reflect light, giving the surface depth and a more refined character than a standard, flat matt paint.

How many Gordo hooks should I fit in a standard hallway?

In a standard hallway for a family of 2–4, usually 3–5 hooks are fitted – one for each regular member of the household and 1–2 spare ones for guests. With a width of 19 mm, Gordo hooks can be fitted 15–20 cm apart, which allows you to place 4–5 of them per metre of wall without looking crowded. When fitting them in one horizontal line, it is important to mark exactly the same height using a spirit level.

Is Gordo suitable for a steamy bathroom?

ZnAl alloy is corrosion-resistant in household conditions, including in a bathroom with normal humidity. When you shower or take a bath, Gordo is exposed to steam and occasional water splashes, so it is recommended to dry the hook regularly after exposure to moisture. The gold colour needs particular care, because hard water marks are more visible on it. Pearl grey and black hide water marks better. In areas exposed to direct water splashes, it is worth taking extra care to dry the hook after using the bathroom.

How do I fit the Gordo wall hook?

The Gordo hook is fitted using two holes with 12 mm hole centres. Before fitting, hold the hook against the wall, cabinet front or panel and mark the drilling points. For a wall, choose wall plugs suited to the type of mounting surface, e.g. concrete, brick, wood or plasterboard. After screwing the hook in place, check that it sits firmly against the surface and does not move during use.

Are fixing screws included?

Yes, standard fixing screws are included with the Gordo hook. When fitting directly to a wall, choose suitable expansion wall plugs for the type of mounting surface. When fitting to a furniture board, make sure the screws are not long enough to go right through the front.

How much does the Gordo hook weigh?

Each item weighs approx. 80 g. This is a weight you can feel in your hand, resulting from the precision casting in ZnAl alloy, despite its compact, slim size.

Can several Gordo hooks be fitted side by side?

Yes, the Gordo model looks very good when several are fitted in one line, e.g. in the hallway, walk-in wardrobe or bathroom. When fitting several hooks, it is worth keeping the spacing even and using a spirit level so that the whole arrangement looks neat and orderly.

Which Gordo colour should I choose?

The gold Gordo goes well with elegant, classic and modern classic interiors. Black will be best for loft-style, industrial and minimalist interiors. Pearl grey works well where you want a calmer, more neutral effect, e.g. with light walls, architectural concrete or grey fronts.
