How do I fit a handle on the front correctly?
We recommend using only a manual cross-head screwdriver to fit the handles. We advise against using electric screwdrivers, as too much torque can damage the thread or the coating of the handle. When planning where to fit the handle, it is worth allowing a gap of a few millimetres from the edge of the front. For large fronts or heavy drawers, we recommend keeping a gap of 1–2 cm from the edge, which makes them more comfortable to use and distributes the forces better.

What should I do if I notice a defect before fitting?
Please inspect the handles carefully before you start work. If you notice any manufacturing defects or damage to the coating, do not fit the product. Contact us immediately – handles that show signs of having been fitted are much more difficult to deal with in the complaints process.
Why is Belen made of brass rather than aluminium like the other handles in the series?
Brass and aluminium are two different materials with different visual and practical properties. Aluminium is lighter and gives a more uniform effect, whereas brass is heavier, has a colour character of its own and may change naturally over time. In the case of a knob, where contact is concentrated on a small surface, brass gives a distinct sense of solidity.
Is brass patina a problem and how can I prevent it?
Patina is a natural change to the surface of brass caused by contact with air, moisture and skin. On the Belen knob, it may appear as gradual darkening where it is gripped most often. For many people, it is a desirable feature of the material. To slow this process down, it is a good idea to wipe the knob regularly with a dry, soft cloth.
Which size should I choose – 28 mm or 32 mm?
The 28 mm knob works well on narrow drawer fronts and on cupboards up to 40 cm wide. The 32 mm size is more versatile and suits standard kitchen cupboard doors, bedside table fronts and drawers in chests of drawers 40–60 cm wide. If in doubt, 32 mm will be the safer choice.
Can the Belen knob be paired with brushed gold cabinet handles?
Yes, Belen can be paired with brushed gold handles from other series. However, bear in mind that the gold shade on brass may differ from the gold finish on aluminium. This combination can look very good, but it is a good idea to take this difference into account when planning the whole scheme.
How is the Belen knob fitted and does it fit IKEA furniture?
Belen is fitted using a single M4 hole: the screw passes through the front and screws into the thread in the base of the knob. A fixing screw is included with each item. The knob may fit fronts that have a single fixing hole, as well as fronts in which you drill such a hole yourself.
Does the Belen knob fit standard cabinet fronts?
Yes, the knob is fitted using a single hole with an M4 screw, so it fits most standard cabinet fronts.
Can the colour vary from one item to another?
Yes, owing to the brushed surface and the character of brass, the shade may vary slightly depending on the batch and the angle of the light.
Is the knob suitable for the bathroom?
Yes, brass is corrosion-resistant in household conditions; however, prolonged contact with water and strong cleaning products may accelerate natural changes to the surface.
