Saba Brass Cabinet Knob

Why does Saba have a spherical shape rather than a disc shape like other brass knobs in the range?

A ball and a disc are two different design approaches to the same handle function. A disc knob is more minimalist and visually flat, while a ball is more three-dimensional and classic. Saba opts for a spherical form, which shows off the warm shine of brass well from different sides.

Which Saba size should I choose – 20, 25 or 30 mm?

The 20 mm size works well on narrow drawers and cupboards up to about 35 cm wide. The 25 mm size is the choice for standard kitchen cupboards, the fronts of chests of drawers and bedside tables. The 30 mm size is designed for larger wardrobe fronts and wider kitchen cupboard doors, where a smaller ball could look too understated.

How much does the Saba knob weigh?

The weight depends on the size you choose: from 33.1 g for the 20 mm diameter, through 61.1 g for 25 mm, to 113.5 g for the largest 30 mm option. The higher weight compared with aluminium or zinc knobs is due to the density of solid brass.

Can the Saba ball knob be combined with cabinet handles in a gold finish?

Yes – Saba, made of solid brass, goes well with handles in a brushed gold finish. Brass usually has a slightly warmer gold shade, which creates a subtle and interesting combination. A popular solution is Saba knobs on doors and handles on drawers.

Do the handles fit off-the-shelf furniture?

Yes – Saba is fitted using a single M4 hole, which is the market standard and fits many pre-drilled fronts, including IKEA furniture. Before you buy, simply check whether the front already has a fixing hole and, if not, drill one hole with a 4 mm drill bit in your chosen position. The screw included fits standard cabinet fronts.

Can the colour vary from one item to another?

Yes, the shade may vary slightly depending on the batch and the angle of the light.

How do I fit a handle on the front correctly?

We recommend fitting the handles with a manual cross-head screwdriver only. We advise against using electric screwdrivers, as too much torque can damage the thread or the surface of the handle. When planning where to fit them, allow a gap of a few millimetres from the edge of the front. For large fronts or heavy drawers, we recommend keeping a gap of 1–2 cm from the edge, which makes them more comfortable to use and distributes the forces better.
