Why is Luiza made of zinc alloy rather than aluminium like most knobs in the series?

Zinc alloy is a casting material that allows richer surface decoration than many simpler finishes – smooth, even and able to take both solid lacquer colours and more complex visual effects, such as marble patterns, a glitter effect or prints imitating textures. Luiza is a knob in which colour and pattern play a very important role, which is why zinc alloy works well for this model.

How do I choose a Luiza colour for a children’s room?

Pastel options are often chosen for children’s rooms: mint, celadon, milky white, cream, salmon pink and pink – especially for furniture in white and light greys. For older children and rooms with a bolder character, you could consider Milky Way, marble or light blue. The black and white option and deep matt black are a good choice for teenagers’ rooms dominated by minimalism or an industrial style. You can replace Luiza knobs yourself in the future, which makes them a good choice for rooms whose character changes over time.

Does Luiza fit IKEA furniture, and how is it fitted?

Yes – Luiza is fitted using a single M4 hole. On IKEA furniture with a factory-drilled knob hole, it can be fitted without any additional drilling. The fixing screw included passes through the front from the back and screws into the thread in the knob base. For fronts without a hole, you just need to drill one hole with a 4 mm drill bit.

Are the patterns on Luiza (marble, glitter, Milky Way) durable with heavy use?

The patterns on Luiza are decorative coatings applied to the zinc body of the knob. They are durable with normal use and cleaning with a soft cloth, but they need a little more care than solid colours. In particular, avoid scratching the knob with hard objects and using abrasive cleaners. For heavily used furniture, the solid options are the safer choice.

Can I order several different Luiza colours and mix them on one piece of furniture?

Yes – you can combine different Luiza colours on one chest of drawers or set of furniture. As all options have exactly the same size and shape, the whole can look coordinated despite the variety of colours. This works especially well in children’s and teenagers’ rooms and in interiors with a more creative character.

Can the colour in real life differ from the photo?

Yes, the shade of the knob may look slightly different depending on your screen settings, the lighting and the colour of the furniture front. The patterned options may also have slight differences in the layout of the decoration, which is natural for this type of finish.

How do I fit a handle on the front correctly?

We recommend using only a manual cross-head screwdriver to fit the handles. We advise against using electric screwdrivers, as too much torque can damage the thread or the coating of the handle. When planning where to fit the handle, it is worth allowing a gap of a few millimetres from the edge of the front. For large fronts or heavy drawers, we recommend keeping a gap of 1–2 cm from the edge, which makes them more comfortable to use and distributes the forces better.

Yes, the knob is fitted using a single hole with an M4 screw, so it fits most standard cabinet fronts.
