Linda Wall Hook

How does a hook rail differ from a set of individual hooks?

The Linda hook rail is a single unit – a bar with hooks fixed to the wall as a whole. Instead of drilling separate holes for each hook, you fit one rail at several fixing points. The hooks are evenly spaced along the bar, so there is no need to mark the position of each one separately. The drawback of a rail is less flexibility in positioning, as the spacing between the hooks is fixed. Its biggest advantage is quick fitting and a visually consistent line of hooks.

Which option should I choose – 4 or 5 hooks?

The 4-hook option is 256 mm long and works well in narrower spots, e.g. by a door, in a small hallway, bathroom, walk-in wardrobe or next to a cupboard. The 5-hook option is 343 mm long and is better where more people use the rail or you need more room for jackets, bags, towels, keys or accessories. Before choosing, it is worth measuring the available wall width and leaving a few centimetres of spare space on each side.

How much does the Linda hook rail weigh?

The weight depends on the option: the rail with 4 hooks weighs approx. 219 g and the one with 5 hooks approx. 272 g. The greater weight of the longer option comes from the extra hook and the longer bar.

How do I fit the Linda hook rail?

The Linda hook rail should be fitted horizontally to a stable mounting surface, e.g. a wall, panel, wood or furniture board. Before fitting, choose the position, hold the rail against the surface and mark a level line – ideally with a spirit level, as with a length of 256 or 343 mm even a slight deviation will be visible.

Then mark the fixing holes with a pencil. When fitting to a wall, drill the holes and use wall plugs suitable for the type of mounting surface, e.g. concrete, brick, wood or plasterboard. When fitting to furniture or a panel, choose the screw length so that the screws do not go right through the board. After screwing the rail on, check that it is stable and level.

Can the Linda hook rail be fitted to plasterboard?

Yes, but you need to use wall plugs or fixings designed specifically for plasterboard. Standard wall plugs for concrete or brick may not provide sufficient stability. If the rail will be used for heavier jackets, bags or backpacks, it is best to fit it in a reinforced spot or choose fixings to suit the planned load.

Are wall plugs included?

Standard fixing screws are supplied with the Linda hook rail. Choose the wall plugs yourself to suit the type of mounting surface, as different fixings are used for concrete, brick, wood, furniture board and plasterboard.

Where is the best place to fit the Linda hook rail?

Linda works well in a hallway, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom, kitchen, office and utility rooms. You can use it for jackets, bags, towels, dressing gowns, keys, lanyards, ID badges or small accessories. The rail is a good choice wherever you want several hanging points in one straight line.
