Gloria Cabinet Knob

Why does Gloria come in as many as eleven colours when other knobs come in one or two?

As a casting material, zinc takes finishing coatings well. The smooth, precise surface of the zinc casting allows both electroplated coatings and lacquers in various colours to be applied. This is why Gloria can offer such a wide palette in one model – from metallic finishes to colourful decorative accents.

Which colour of Gloria should I choose for the kitchen, and which for the bathroom?

For a kitchen with white or cream fronts, polished gold, brushed gold and brushed nickel work well – they create a warm or cool metallic accent. For modern kitchens with fronts in grey and anthracite – titanium black or chrome. For a bathroom with chrome taps and fittings, chrome or brushed nickel is the natural choice, and for bathrooms with gold taps and fittings – polished gold or brushed gold.

Are the coloured versions of Gloria (yellow, pink, blue) durable in everyday use?

Yes – the lacquer coating on the zinc stands up to normal use with proper care. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scratching with sharp objects and contact with solvents. A soft microfibre cloth is all you need for cleaning. The coloured versions are intended for home use and, with proper care, keep their attractive appearance for a long time.

Is the 32 mm size suitable for kitchen cupboards and drawers?

Yes – 32 mm is a versatile size for a round cabinet knob. It works well on standard kitchen cupboard doors, chest of drawers fronts, bedside tables and wider drawers. On very narrow fronts it may look visually dominant, so in such cases it is worth considering a smaller model.

How do I fit Gloria, and does it fit IKEA furniture?

Gloria is fitted using a single M4 hole: the screw goes through the front from the back and screws into the thread in the base of the knob. A fixing screw is included with every item. The knob is compatible with IKEA furniture that has a factory-drilled fixing hole. For fronts without a hole, simply drill one hole with a 4 mm drill bit in the chosen spot – the whole fitting process takes a few minutes and requires no specialist tools.

Can the colour of the knob differ from the photo?

Yes, the shade may look slightly different depending on the lighting, your screen settings and the colour of the cabinet front. This applies in particular to metallic finishes such as polished gold, chrome, brushed nickel, titanium black and titanium sand.

How do I fit a handle on the front correctly?

We recommend using only a manual cross-head screwdriver to fit the handles. We advise against using electric screwdrivers, as too much torque can damage the thread or the coating of the handle. When planning where to fit the handle, it is worth allowing a gap of a few millimetres from the edge of the front. For large fronts or heavy drawers, we recommend keeping a gap of 1–2 cm from the edge, which makes them more comfortable to use and distributes the forces better.
