Which works better in a heavily used corridor: gold or brushed gold Dorado?

In a heavily used corridor, where the hook is grabbed many times a day when putting on and taking off jackets and bags, brushed gold is the more practical choice. The brushed texture effectively hides greasy fingerprints and minor scratches from everyday use – marks are less visible than on the smooth, mirror-like surface of smooth gold. Where the hook is used only occasionally, or in spaces where looks take priority over practicality, smooth gold Dorado gives a more intense, more striking shine.

How much does the Dorado wall hook weigh?

Each item weighs approx. 96 g. This solid weight comes from the ZnAl alloy construction and you can feel it in your hand the moment you pick it up.

Are the 62 × 65 mm dimensions suitable for hanging jackets?

The dimensions of the hook determine its size and how it looks on the wall. Load capacity depends mainly on the design of the product and correct fitting. Before hanging heavy jackets or bags, make sure the fixing is secure and suited to the type of mounting surface.

Does Dorado go with gold bathroom taps and fittings?

Gold Dorado (smooth) and brushed gold Dorado can both be used with gold bathroom taps and fittings, but it is worth checking the shade of gold before you buy. Gold bathroom taps and fittings come in various shades – warm gold, matt gold, polished gold, satin. Smooth gold Dorado has an intense, mirror-like effect; brushed gold has a warm, textured character. With matt or brushed gold taps and fittings, brushed gold Dorado will look more harmonious than smooth gold.

How do I fit the Dorado wall hook?

The Dorado hook should be fitted to a stable mounting surface, e.g. a wall, panel, wood or furniture board. Before fitting, choose the position, hold the hook against the surface and mark the fixing holes with a pencil.

When fitting to a wall, drill the holes and use wall plugs suitable for the type of mounting surface, e.g. concrete, brick, wood or plasterboard. Then screw the hook on firmly and check that it does not move from side to side. When fitting to furniture board, choose the screw length so that the screws do not go right through the material.

Can the Dorado wall hook be fitted to plasterboard?

Yes, but you need to use wall plugs or fixings designed specifically for plasterboard. If the hook will be used for heavier jackets, bags or backpacks, it is best to fit it in a reinforced spot or choose fixings to suit the planned load.

Is Dorado a single or double wall hook?

Dorado is a double wall hook – two diverging arms let you conveniently hang, for example, keys and a bag, a towel and a dressing gown, or a jacket and small accessories. This means one hook gives you more options than a classic single hook.

Will the Dorado wall hook hold a heavy winter coat?

The Dorado wall hook is suitable for everyday use with clothes, towels, bags, keys and accessories, but the final load capacity depends mainly on the type of wall, the wall plugs used and correct fitting. For heavier clothing, we recommend fitting it to a stable mounting surface, e.g. concrete, brick, wood or reinforced board.
